With the current dry conditions Brazeau County is issuing a Fire Advisory. Please exercise extreme caution when conducting burning operations. Ensure the fire is fully extinguished and monitor it for several days afterwards. Fire permits are required for any open fires, other than cooking and warming fires in an approved fire pit. No new burn permits will be issued, however, exisiting burn permits are still valid. Residents and visitors are encouraged to continue exercising fire safety practices including discarding smoking materials properly, driving off road vehicles in the bush, and having firefighting equipment (water, shovel, etc.)on hand when lighting a fire.
